News Matters

Jubilee Street party – 3rd June 2012

Bishop’s Waltham Parish Council will be holding an event to mark the Queen’s Jubilee in June 2012. A Street Party will be held in the High Street on Sunday 3rd June from midday until 6.00pm.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day and will include bands, singers, children’s entertainers and more….
Food and drink can be purchased from the stalls of local traders who will be joining us to mark this special occasion, or you can bring your own ‘picnic’.

Entry to the event will be by purchasing a souvenir badge for £5.00 per adult, accompanied children under 16 free.
We need volunteers to help us in various capacities before, during and after the event.

Chamber of Trade Markets and Events 2012

Following on from the very successful markets in the town in 2011 the newly re-vamped Chamber of Trade has big plans for 2012!
The continental markets will continue to visit the town throughout the year giving everyone the chance to purchase something a little different from the normal weekly shop!

The Chamber has also planned some community days that will see the High Street closed on one Saturday a month. Various events including classic cars and local traders’ markets are in the planning stages – watch out for full details in due course.

The Councillors’ surgery is held on the 3rd Saturday in the month from 10.00am until noon in the town centre.

Look out for the minibus and the Parish Council banner and come and talk to your Councillors.
